Big Day...

Wow.. I almost typed out “Big Gay”.. Anyways, today is in fact a “Big day”.

Not only is it the last day of classes… it is also X-Ring!

I would assume that most people reading this would be able to understand the festivities associated with the last day of classes. Now, X-Ring is another matter. If you went to St.FX you would understand that today is the biggest day of your St.FX student career and everything that goes along with it. If you did not go to St.FX you most likely don’t understand and are probably wondering what all the commotion is about this stupid little ring.

Been ridiculously busy, and really predictable these last couple weeks. My life has become a routine. I have found that since I started working I have become very predictable in what I do all week. Play hockey, work, watch TV, play some video games and go out for drinks on the weekend. That is pretty much it. Most night you can predict what I will be doing. Can anyone guess what I am doing tonight?

Zebra Steak.

Someone I know is contemplating going to Africa and they doubted me when I said that they need to try eating Zebra Steak… He doubted that it even exists! A friend of my family is from Zimbabwe and has spoken highly of it… Needless to say, given the opportunity to go to Africa, I would definitely eat Zebra Steak. Unlike my timid friend.. (he is exceptionally timid.. and not to mention weak) he will never enjoy the sweet taste of Zebra meat:

I don’t know how I feel about someone eating zebra. But if I was in africa I would try it , just like if I was in tokyo I would try whale. It is part of the culture, and when there to really enjoy the experience you must try some of ther local customs.

I am off to Ottawa to have lunch with the the Royal Canadian Legion. I may have to give a speech. I am quite nervous. I hate speeches. This luncheon is in recognition of a project that our company did to benefit the veterans.

Just get bombed… the booze will guide the way. Also, whatever you do, do not picture everyone in their underwear! Another thing that won’t help is taking a deep breath… that just makes things worse. Also, don’t reassure yourself and tell yourself that everything is going to be ok.. because it wont be.. unless you’re drunk.

Got it? Good. Now go out there and kick some ass brother…

Bro I decided to not go the Alcohol route and stay sober. I thought it the most prudent option, being thar I was representing the company.

I didn’t really have a speak much anyways so it wasn’t bad… It actually went quite well. Thanks for the advice though your way would have made the day very interesting.
