The NHL draft is happening tonight in Montreal. I am excited to see what my Habs do at the draft this year. I am hoping for a blockbuster trade, like getting Vincent Lecalvalier, or trading up to get a top 10 pick, who knows. I do trust in Bob Gainey’s judgment and I think he is an amazing GM, so whatever he decides to do I believe he is doing it for the enhancment of fhe Canadiens franchise.

Also with the Molson family now being owners of the team again I think the club is headed in the right direction.

Here’s to the 101st season of the Montreal Canadiens, it starts tonight!

I am heading to Ocean park this weekend. It is supposed to rain all weekend and week, which sucks but I haven’t back to my summer vacation spot in 6 years. I am still going to love it rain or shine.

Last FM is tracking all the Michael Jackson tracks played yesterday. As the news broke out to the masses, Michael Jackson plays went from around 2000 to 35,000 in an hour. Ridiculous.

Did you know that in South America Daffy Duck is called ‘El Pato Lucas’? Pato means ‘duck’ so his name is basically ‘the duck lucas’. Whenever I talked to spanish people while away in Ecuador and I told them my name they would be like “Ohhhh PATO LUCAS”. Which I later learned was daffy duck..

What I don’t get is why they switched the name to Lucas. It’s not as if they did it keep alliteration in check. They had beautiful options in ’El Pato Paul’, ‘El Pato Peter’. or ‘El Pato Perry’. Why even switch from Daffy at that point? Why not be ‘El Pato Daffy’..

I would love to know why they renamed him what they did. If anyone knows anyone who worked for Disney South America in the 1950s please let me know.
